About the book
The global economy is a mess. Big business, aided by bad government, has spoilt the party for everyone, yet it is individuals and small companies that are really paying the price. With the depressed state of the economy, companies are not giving much in the way of increases, and vacancies remain unfilled. Existing staff have to work harder for the same, sometimes less, money. I read your book on the planes down to and back from Cape Town …. my 5th book since January after as many months as years reading virtually nothing bar the odd management article.
I marvelled at how you laid out, in detail and with practical examples, the basics of preparing for and executing negotiations and the skills and mindset associated with a successful outcome. Although I found myself at just about every point thinking “I know this” I cannot imagine myself being able to methodically put it all together like you have. It’s simply a fantastic step by step instructional and insightful treatise on how to get it done and was a great mind jogger for a few forgotten lessons which are now a little more foremost in my mind”
