Bill has over 30 years of Executive Leadership, General Management and Sales experience in the ICT industry. He has served on the boards of both global companies and local private organisations. His most recent position was as Chief Sales Officer at Gijima. Prior to that, he was Regional CEO of the SAS Institute. Bill currently consults to companies wanting to accelerate their businesses in Africa. He also assists enterprises looking to extract maximum value from their Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence initiatives.
Charlene has held various sales leadership positions within the IT and financial services industries since 2005. Her capabilities in sales strategy, business development, relationship management and consulting have contributed to her success at prominent organisations such as EMC, IBM, Standard Bank, Oracle Financial Services Software, Cisco Systems and Hyphen Technology. Charlene currently specialises in helping sales teams to unlock and develop their negotiating and sales potential.
Charles is a Director at Core Process – a UK (United Kingdom) business consultancy that specialises in upgrading people’s skills in communication, collaboration and conflict. He adapts these soft skills to develop and improve teams and individuals in negotiation, leadership, change management, retail and EI. Prior to his role as a Director at Core Process, Charles was General Manager at a leading provider of building solutions. He has also been Commercial Director of a prominent retail chain.
Duncan has worked in the demanding world of music for almost 30 years. As co-founder of Sony Music in South Africa, he has acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealmaking. Duncan has worked closely with many world-renowned artists including Celine Deon, Bruce Springsteen and the late Michael Jackson. As a Facilitator for The Dealmaker Company, Duncan’s ability to captivate audiences, and passion for sharing his business experiences, has brought a new dynamic to the programmes.
Dr. Karen Toombs
Dr. Karen Toombs has held numerous leadership positions over the years including that of Board Director at the American Chamber of Commerce. She has also received various academic achievement awards including the Alma Mater Scholarship for Doctoral Research from the University of South Africa. Karen is currently a business consultant specialising in management training and organisational development. Her passion is assisting people to achieve their full potential through discerning and targeted learning.
Kim, CEO of The Dealmaker Company, is an internationally acclaimed lecturer, sales strategist and negotiator who has worked with blue chip companies worldwide for almost 20 years. Her passion for business has seen her nominated for (and winning) several prestigious awards. As author of four business books, she has been quoted in numerous print media publications and been a guest on many TV and radio programmes. Kim specialises in helping companies to increase their profits and revenues through business consulting and strategic sales development.
KK has held many leadership roles over the years, each contributing to his experience and knowledge in the business arena. He has served as Managing Director of Liber8 Records as well as Managing Trustee of The African Indigenous Music Trust. His achievements include movie publishing deals as well as an award for humanitarian music projects from the United Nations. KK is a business coach, speaker and game changer who helps to develop individuals, entrepreneurs and professionals to their maximum potential.
Leigh has been facilitating groups in personal, leadership and business development for over twenty-five years. She has addressed groups ranging from 100 to 500 delegates. As a consultant she has facilitated the formation of new boards and created network opportunities for business owners to develop and grow their companies. Leigh specialises in getting business results through people development – focusing on areas that leverage the best results for the company on its bottom line.
Mike, based in the USA, has held various senior leadership positions, including those of Vice President, General Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Director at various prominent international companies such as Coca-Cola, Minute Maid, Procter & Gamble and SCA. Mike currently specialises in providing businesses with the “how-to” basics to ensure that strategic plans are flawlessly executed. This includes innovative go-to-market initiatives, and plans that incorporate “people – product – process” elements.
As an entrepreneur, Paul has founded / co-founded three businesses – two in the IT sector and another in Profit Re-engineering. His expertise includes formulating organisational direction, developing business strategies, setting and sustaining standards of quality and leading large teams. When Paul is not facilitating The Dealmaker Company programmes, he talks about big data and the possibilities of AI. He is also currently promoting another new business – this time an indie alternative clothing brand.
Tracey, based in the UK, is an accredited Relationship and EI (Emotional Intelligence) Coach who has a passion for women’s development. She has worked in Denmark, US, South Africa and Saudi Arabia with both individuals and global companies. Her last position in the corporate world was as Head of Sales and Marketing at one of the UK’s top hotels. She co-founded Core Process in 2010 and through this business has created personal development programmes for many, including members of the Royal Family.
